The Frankfort Lighthouse

Frankfort is on the western side of Michigan and sits off Lake Michigan. It used to be a point for ferries to go over to Wisconsin but I'm not sure that happens anymore. This lighthouse is out in the harbor.

The original was built in 1873. This one was built in 1932 after the original lighthouse was added to a two story structure.

This is the lighthouse. As you can see there is still a bit of ice up there. It was pretty cold to boot.

This is a beacon I believe.

Just a view of the channel with both structures to the side.
