A Pastie Shop

Pasties are a dish that were brought over by the Welsh Miners would work in some of the Upper Penninsula mines. They are a kind of a pastry with meat, potatoes and rutabaga in them (unpurists will put carrots in). The miners could wrap them in a towel and would still have a hot meal for lunch. They are pretty popular in Northern Michigan.

I wish I could find the cartoon, but there was a cartoon of a man walking up to a shop with a giant sign that said "Pasties" and he asked, "Do you serve anything else?"
