Thunder Over Michigan 2010 Part 5

The next part was a demonstration by two groups of people flying the AT-6 Texan (Or Harvard in Canada and England). One group was from Canada and the other was from the United States. The AT-6 was used as a trainer for a pretty long time. Because it closely resembled some of the Japanese aircraft, it was also used in Tora! Tora! Tora!.

This was called a Thunderbird formation. The planes in yellow are the Canadian pilots, the other planes are the Americans from a group called the Running Rebels.

This is a diamond formation that is used by the Canadian Demonstration Team called the Snowbirds.

A diamond formation that kind of resembles the Blue Angels or Thuderbirds but not quite as close.

This is one of the B-17's warming up for an upcoming part of the show.

Two of the American planes.

4 of the American planes.

This was kind of a neat display but they didn't put the planes through too many paces.
