Glen Haven, Michigan

Glen Haven is a restored village that now part of the Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore. It is located near the town of Glen Arbor and is just east of the main part of the park. Also here is the Sleeping Bear Coast Guard Maritime Museum.

The village was founded in 1857 as a place called Sleeping Bearville. It was abandoned in 1940 and purchased by the park service in the 70's.

This building was used as a warehouse for a while and then a place to can cherries. It is now used as a boathouse museum.
