Two Coast Guard Boats in Hot Pursuit

As the Herbert C. Jackson was heading towards other parts of the Lakes, I looked over and saw these two boats. As I looked closer, I noticed that they were Coast Guard boats and their sirens were on.

I really like this picture, you can see it moving fast.

The "No Wake" sign is kind of ironic but I guess when you're in pursuit of something, that's okay.

Since I'm in sort of a political mood right now, the Coast Guard seems like the unappreciated service. They have a pretty tough mission yet they aren't sexy enough to get the funding of the other military services. Now that they are in Homeland Security, I've read it's even worse for them.
