Greektown

Our company picnic was held at the Tigers' game today. We decided to park at the Greektown Casino parking structure although we didn't stay there. Since I've never really taken a picture of Greektown and I kind of had the right lens on.
Greektown was originally settled by German immigrants in the 1830's. In the early 20th Century, the German Residents started to move out and Greek residents took their place. These residents established businesses and restaurants in the area. As the area started to lose it's Greek flavor, the people who ran the neighborhood took steps to promote it.

Now it is the home of the Greektown Casino and many Greek Restuarants and shops.
