Making her debut on Michigan Exposures is the Right Honorable Paul J. Martin. I will have to admit that is a pretty cool name and it sounds almost like something right out of Monty Python.

The Right Honorable Paul J. Martin got her start in life as the H.M. Griffith. She was built in Collingwood , Ontario in 1973.

She was originally 730 feet long and could carry almost 23,000 tons of cargo.

In 1999, she was sent to the Port Weller docks for conversion. She would get a new bow and cargo section. Her new dimensions would be 740 feet long and she would be able to carry almost 40,000 tons of cargo.

Her conversion was completed in 2000 and she was re-christened with her new name.

The ship is named after the Canada Steamship Lines President. He would later become Canadian Minister of Finance and Prime Minister.

To the right, you can see the Algoma Guardian.
This would be the last ship I would watch at Riverside since the next ship was going to be coming down almost at sunset, I didn't want to miss her.
