Just a bunch of pictures from Ludington.
Because of the protected harbor, Ludington was a major point for shipping. With the demise of the railroad ferries, it is not so much anymore. I'm not sure what this propellor is from.
I kind of liked the way this marina was reflecting in the water. So there is still sort of a shipping industry here.
Definately liked this one too.
Kind of a look of downtown Ludington. The town was originally named after Pere Marquette and later after industrialist James Ludington. It was incorporated as a city in 1873. The city was booming as a result of the lumber industry. In many ways, it could be a microcosm of Michigan.
The Ludington Post Office.
The Mason County Courthouse. Ludington became the Mason County seat in 1873.
This courthouse was built in 1893.
The Ludington Library. I kind of liked the looks of it.
One last shot of the courthouse.
Now this is what I'm talking about!
