The next ship was kind of a treat and I was not expecting to see her.
The HMCS Harry DeWolf is an offshore patrol vehicle.
She was derived from the Arctic Offshore Patrol Ships which were designed to patrol the Arctic Ocean in an effort to protect Canada's resources up there.
This particular vessel is also designed to operate in the Arctic regions.
She was built by Irving Shipbuilding in Halifax and will be based in Halifax.
She was ordered in 2011, her keel was laid in 2016 and she was launched in 2018.
She has a 25 mm gun and two Browning 50 caliber machine guns.
She has multiple mission packets. As I type this, I believe she is heading back to Halifax.
