Manistee Lighthouse

I've posted pictures of this lighthouse before. So I'm not going to go into much detail about it.

As you can see, there still some ice up there. The lakes seem to be mostly ice free though.

The current lighthouse was constructed of cast iron in 1927. It has a fifth order fresnel lens.

The tower stands at 39 feet tall and the catwalk is one of 4 that surve in Michigan.









I kind of liked this shot because it showed the full extent of the pier.

this was an attempt at framing.
