Some Flowers Around Work

We are expanding our building at work.  As sort of a project, I'm trying to document that with photographs.  When it is completed, I hope to string them together as sort of a movie.  Since I was already walking around the building, I decided to take some pictures of the flowers around the building.

 I think this is a brown eyed susan, but I'm not sure.

 I'm not about to make an attempt to name the bug on the flower.

 A thistle.

 A pine cone.

 One of my favorite plants around the buildings are the birch trees we have in the front.  I just love the way they peel.

I wasn't sure which orientation I liked better, so I posted both pictures.
