I ended up taking my mom to look for sunflower farms but it is a little early to see any. But I found a couple farms and they are pretty easy to get to, so I think I will check them out later. After doing that I ended up stopping at the former K-Mart parking lot across the freeway from Willow Run. I wanted to catch the last act of the air show.
I did end up catching it but they didn't use the heritage plane for it. I was kind of hoping to see that plane again. This lot is close but not close enough.
Fortunately, I have pretty decent zoom and pretty decent resolution. This is the plane turning over for a manuever.

One more as it was sort of doing a pass. I couldn't get the right angle because of the poles that were in the way.
It wasn't a bad spot and works a little better when there are acts like the Blue Angels or Thunderbirds because they use more of the space. But it was still kind of nice.
