A Department of Natural Resources Boat Passes By

 This was another thing that passed while I was taking pictures of the Tregurtha.

When I see a boat that looks like, I expect to see some sort of law enforcement vehicle.

Usually it is a US Coast Guard vessel.  Sometimes it is a Border Patrol vessel.  Occasionally, it is the Ontario Police.  A few times it has been the Mounted Police.

This time it was a Conservation Officer.  With the number of fishermen on the river, this doesn't come as a surprise.

And yes, they can arrest you if you are doing something wrong.

A DNR Boat

I caught this one while taking pictures of the Algoma Buffalo.

It is a conservation officer boat.  It belongs to the Department of Natural Resources.  I'm not sure where it was going though.

Just some other boats that didn't really warrant a separate post.

 A Michigan Conservation Officer headed somewhere.  I think with fishing season in full swing again, these guys are in full swing.

 The tanker Nordic Oslo.  She is owned by Nordic Tankers out of Copenhagen, Denmark.  Built in 2005 she can can carry almsot 13,000 tons of cargo.
