I realize that I haven't done this in a while. A similar picture popped up on my Facebook timeline and I figured I would try again. I wanted to recreate a fighter flying in space. I think I did a decent job with it. First, I put a black background behind it. Then I had a light to shine on it. I adjusted the f-stop and shutter speed so that it was exposed and the background wasn't. I took it a step forward and bumped up the contrast in post processing to make it more like it was in space. I think I like the results.
One of the most iconic ships in Star Wars is the X-Wing Fighter. I think this is a model of Luke's X-wing, but I'm not sure. Anyway, I like the result of this picture. I hope you do too.

Catching the Force
I decided to check Flight Radar this morning. I don't know why, but I thought I would check and see where the United Airlines Star Wars 737 was heading. I was happy to find out that it was heading to Detroit today. Well, I was partially happy as I was going to the MAC Championship game. It wasn't a particularly good game nor did I really have a dog in the hunt, so I left early.
Sadly, I didn't leave early enough as I was hoping to still catch it in the air. I'm not terribly happy with this picture but at least I got a picture of it. I hope that it comes this way again. At any rate, it was coming in from Denver.
A Delta Airlines 737 arriving from Tampa.
Another angle of that plane.
It was followed by a my favorite aircraft.
Which is the 757 and this one was arriving from Fort Lauderdale.
Recently, I saw an article that United ordered a bunch of A321s to replace their 757 fleet. I know that these planes are getting old but it will still be sad to see these planes leave the skies.
One more angle.
I wasn't going to get another plane but I saw that there was another plane I was interested in catching. It wasn't this one though. This Spirit Airlines A320 was coming in from Tampa.
It was followed by a 767. I was surprised to see that it didn't have the winglets and then I found out that it was 767-400 which has the 777 style raked wingtips.
This particular 767 was arriving from Frankfurt, Germany.
I headed over to the other side of the airport because I saw that there was another 757 coming in.
This 757-300 was coming in from Seattle.
One more shot of it.

A TIE Fighter pilot for the First Order in the Force Awakens.
A closeup of the TIE Pilot.
An Imperial Officer.
A TIE Fighter pilot from the original series.
A closeup.
A scout trooper helmet.
One of the stormtroopers from the Force Awakens.
A closeup of his helmet.
A snowtrooper from a Force Awakens.
Luke Skywalkers pilot suit from A New Hope.
I think this is Captain Typho from Attack of the Clones.
Luke Skywalker's helmet.
One of the Resistance pilots from A Force Awakens.
The Darth Vader costume.
A stormtrooper.
A closeup of his face.

I think this is the outfit that Padme wore in Attack of the Clones.
Another outfit of her.
Padme as a pilot.
The outfit worn by Padme in Revenge of the Sith.
The outfit she wore in Attack of the Clowns.
The outfit she wore as she was having dinner with Anikan.
I'm not sure when she wore this outfit, but I'm pretty sure this is Padme's.
The wedding outfit.

Seeing the Star Wars Exhibit at the Detroit Institute of Arts - Part II
So we continue on our tour of the Star Wars Exhibit. As you may expect, I took a bunch of pictures because it was stuff that I likely wouldn't get to see again. Plus, I like Star Wars.
Some of the material used for one of Amidala's dresses.
A female Tusken Raider that appeared in Attack of the Clones for all of 10 seconds.
Another Tusken Raider costume. While this looks similar to the one used in A New Hope, I think it was used in Attack of the Clones.
The outfit that Princess Leia wore as she was Jabba the Hutt's slave.
Princess Leia as Boussh the bounty hunter.
Jango Fett.
The outfit worn by Finn in The Force Awakens.
A shot of Jango Fett's head.
A shot of Boba Fett's head.
A full shot of Boba Fett. I kind of wish they would have shown his character more.
The bounty hunters used in Empire Strikes Back.
Wicket W. Warrick, one of the ewoks.
An early concept drawing of Chewbacca.
Another concept for Chewbacca.
Han Solo's costume. I think this one was from Empire Strikes Back.
the pair.
A closeup of Chewbacca's head.
A full shot of Chewbacca.
I think this was a concept drawing for Jabba the Hutt.
One of the aliens at the Cantina.
A sketch of all the aliens at the Cantina. Again, this was another group that wasn't in the movie for very long.
Chancellor Palpatine from Revenge of the Sith.
Senator Papaltine from the Phantom Menace.
One of the guards for the Chancellor.
Senator Mon Mothma.
I think this guy was like the Sergeant at Arms for the Senate.
Senator Organa from Revenge of the Sith.
Senator Amidala.
