Sometimes neat pictures are sitting right in front of you and you don't notice them. Anyways, I took my camera into work because I needed to take a couple of other pictures and I was passing by this and couldn't pass it up.
It is a smooth approach orifice and is used to measure flow in our equipment. This particular one is a stand alone unit that would be used for calibration. It needs to be machines to a mirror finish.
