Here is the Worm Moon

I knew that it was the full moon tonight.  It has been a while since I've taken a picture of the full moon so I decided to take one.

The March full moon is called the worm moon.  It is the last full moon of winter.
Originally, it was thought that it was called the worm moon because this is roughly the time of year when the worms start stirring and the birds have their food source again.  Apparently, that is partially true.  It is called the worm moon because the beetle larvae is crawing out of the thawed bark of trees.
The name comes from the Native Americans, Colonial Americans and Europeans.  It is also called the Lenten Moon, the Crow Moon, Chaste Moon, Sugar Moon and Sap Moon.  Presumably the last two are because this is roughly the time that maple sugar starts running.

I tried three different settings.  The first one might be too dark, the second too light, the third seems to be right between the two.
