Columbus and Washington Statues - Detroit, MI

Down near the Renaissance Center is a pair of statues one is of Christopher Columbus. The other is a statue of George Washington.

The Columbus statue is on the street as you are heading from the County Building to the Renaissance Center. It was built by the Italian Americans of Detroit in 1910. The artist is Augusto Rivalta.

It is a pretty nice looking statue.

The George Washington statue stands in front of the Mariner's church. It was created by Donald Da Lue. It is unique in that he's in his masonic outfit.

This one is also a pretty nice looking statue.
