Going into this game, Eastern had 14 wins with 16 losses but they still had a chance for a first round bye in the MAC Tournament. That chance of course hinged on them defeating Toledo. I think they had a chance.
The jump ball at the beginning. It was kind of cool because all three of the seniors started the game.
Derek Thompson working his way towards the net. He would actually put on a pretty impressive last season game with 25 points.
Austin Harper advancing the ball down the court.
Glenn Bryant launching a shot towards the net. He had a decent game with 15 points.
Lauching another shot.
The face of competence. I guess I don't watch enough basketball to know what is a foul and what isn't but it sure seems like the refs were letting the players get away with quite a bit.
J.R. Sims launching a three pointer. He connected on 3 of them, although he still seems a little inconsistent in shooting. If he can improve that, he could be a force to be reckoned with.
Another shot of Derek Thompson.
The post game handshake.
And the sad story that the scoreboard told. EMU started the game really strong but the wheels came off the bus in the second half. If I were going to say one thing about this season and the hopes of the next, EMU needs to improve its shooting.
