After I realized that the Yankee Lady wasn't going to make another pass, I checked to see what was coming into Metro Airport. I figured this was around the time I could catch Turkish.
First up was a CRJ-900 coming in from Harrisburg. The Turkish Airlines plane was the next in the pattern.
It was a 787 coming in from Istanbul.
Which is not Constantinople.
It's cool that there is another 787 flight that comes into Detroit.
And it's fairly nice livery to boot.
One more shot because I like the looks of the 787.
Then I saw that there was a 757 coming in, so I stayed a little bit longer.
A little fall foilage.
This particular 757 was coming in from Atlanta.
I'm not sure if its a regular flight or a positioning flight.
Either way, it is cool to see.
The light was just about right.
One more because I like the 757.
A beacon shot on a CRJ-900 coming in from Cleveland.
Then I saw that there was a flight coming in from Air France.
This is an A350. It reminds me of a 787 but I like this plane too.
Like the 787, it is made out of composites.
That makes it light. In fact, there is an A350 flight from Sydney to New York. I believe it is the longest direct flight.
This particular one was coming in from Paris, so it wasn't quite a long.
Still a cool plane.
And in nice light.
Another CRJ-900. This one was coming in from Rochester, New York.
I saw that there was one more cool plane coming in.
This particular one was a UPS 767 coming in from Louisville.
I don't usually catch the big UPS planes because they come in the early morning.
Usually it is dark out when they come in.
So I was happy to catch this one.
The 757 and 767 were designed at about the same time and Boeing made sure that the controls were common so that if you could fly one, you could fly the other.
Shame they didn't apply that to other designs.
