Star Wars in Concert - The Concert

These are some pictures from the concert itself. As I said it was pretty cool. They used the Royal Philharmonic and they had Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) narrating. He was a really good speaker, very animated and very exciting. I've only been to one Classical Concert before and that was a Looney Tunes one that was similar in concept to this one. I love classical music, so it was pretty cool seeing an orchestra.

As they were warming up. It sounded like some of the cartoons I have where you have the sounds of the Orchestra warming up.

I missed the iconic shot of the Star Wars logo on the screen, but it of course had to be opened by this scene. The concert of course opened up with the 20th Century Fox fanfare, followed by the Star Wars Main Title.

As I said, Anthony Daniels was narrating.

He almost sort of looks like 3PO.

This is while they were playing Duel of the Fates.

They had different colored lights depending on the song.

The laser show was pretty cool (as were the flames on the front of the stage).

The colors kind of matched the predominant colors in the scenes from the movies. For instance, Endor was mostly green and brown, hence.

Taking bows.

They did Darth Vader's theme as an encore.

Star Wars in Concert - The Props

Yesterday I went to a show called Star Wars in Concert. It was pretty neat. They had a large screen set up and they would play pieces from the movies to accompany the movies on the screen. Lined around the Palace were some props from the various movies.

This is an Imperial Officer's Unifrom from Revenge of the Sith.

And of course Darth Vader's suit.

A blaster from one of the movies.

I'm not sure if this is a Scouttrooper helmet from Return of the Jedi or a similar one from Revenge of the Sith.

I think this a helmet from Revenge of the Sith.

A Republic Guard (blue) and Imperial Guard (red).

Han Solo in Carbonite.

Yoda. Although he looks like he is saying, "Get me out of here"

Another Angle of Yoda.

C-3PO

They had some folks in costume.

A Stormtrooper

R2-D2.

Chewbacca. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a decent shot of this one.

A Cabin

These were a set of farm shacks somewhere near Fish Point.

The broken out glass, the plaster falling off the wall.

The rusty shingles.

Same window with the zoom.

A frontal shot.

Another window.

Another angle of the house.

A broken axle.

A well.

Some vines and stuff.

More Fish Point

Some more pictures from Fish Point.

This is a shot of the Ranger's station. I was looking and I liked the shot.

More attempts of duck pictures.

Since the ducks weren't cooperating, maybe the cattails would.

More Pictures from Fish Point

Decided to go to Fish Point which is about 30 miles east of Bay City. It's a nature preserve and usually has a good number of ducks and stuff.

After getting frustrated with the ducks, I just took a picture of the cattails.

I was kind of surprised this deer stuck around as long as she did. Given it was hunting season and all.

At least the plants don't run away.

Bay City City Hall

I'm pretty sure I've posted pictures of Bay City's City Hall building before. These are around sunset. I really love the looks of this building. I'm glad they didn't succumb to the whims of the mid 70's and tear it down. The building has too classic of architecture to be torn down.

An overall shot of the building.

The clock tower.

A lion at the front of the building.

Looking up at the tower.

Later in the night.

Looking at the clock.
