Flags at Sunset

I was heading out of work today and I saw the flags against the backdrop of the sunsetting sky.



For some reason I love the looks of the US flag. Some folks don't consider is as elegant as some others, but what the heck.



This one is the Michigan state flag. At the bottom is the state motto - "If you seek a beautiful peninsula, look around". This flag was adopted in 1911. It is the state seal in the middle. The elk and moose represent Michigan and Eagle represents the US. The water represents the peninsula. I like the flag.
