I've said this a number of times before, but shipwatching gives me time to get pictures of other things that pass by. There are usually birds that fly by or swim by or whatever.
I call the cormorant my happy place bird. I used to think that was the seagull but I see seagulls in places that are not my happy places. The cormorant seems to almost exclusively live by the water. I like to see these guys fly by as they skim the water.
This is a Vans RV-7. I think it was flying out of Windsor Airport. It is a kit built aircraft out of Oregon. I think there are several that are in Canada.
