California Zephyr - Part 2 - Nevada

The next leg of my trip was through the deserts of Nevada. I was actually kind of amazed at the colors in the desert.

Some of the mountains in the desert. This is just outside of Reno.

Some hills, or possibly mountain peaks as I think we were still high enough.

I think this is one of the salt flats, but I'm not really sure. With the color, it kind of looks that way.

Another set of peaks. I just was amazed at the reds and the greens.

Another shot of the mountains. Another thing is that it seems like tracks seem to linger longer in the desert.











This one really amazed me because the sun was starting to set. Look at the purples.





And it was almost a full moon.
