The Mesabi Miner too

There are some ships that I don't get to see very often.
The Mesabi Miner is one of those.  She's not exclusively on Lake Michigan like many ships but she spends quite a bit of time there.
Occasionally, she will deliver coal to St Clair but it seems like that is often during the week.
I like to catch her because she represents the style of 1000 footer that I like.
 And she passes by.
Just to give you an idea of how long these ships are.
A shot of her pilot house.
She moves up to the locks.
