Probably one of the better aircraft of the war was the P-51 Mustang.

This is a late model P-51 with a bubble canopy. Looking at the picture, this one has been modified so that it can carry two people.

This was one of the first developments of the P-51. It did not have a bubble canopy, so the pilot didn't have the greatest visibility behind him. I think it used a different engine, so it wasn't quite as good.
