So I arrived at De Tour Village. It is the connecting point to Drummond Island which will be another project next year. It is also at a point where the shipping lanes narrow and make for good boatwatching.
De Tour Village was originally established as Warrenville in 1848 after Ebenezer Warren who was the first postmaster. It became De Tour in 1856 when a new postmaster tookover. In 1961, it received the name De Tour Village. It is a small village of 325 (in 2010).
This is one of the ferries that goes over to Drummond Island.
This is a boat that was tied up at the dock.
Another angle of that ferry.
And a ferry returning from Drummond Island.
I will have to admit, it was a nice little town and I will definately come back to it.
