Some Shots of the Dix Avenue Bridge

I had a little bit of idle time before the Sykes appeared again, so I decided to take some pictures of the Dix Avenue Bridge towers.

The bridge was built in 1927 by a Chicago firm.  As such, it retains some of the characteristics of the bridges in Chicago.  These look like the towers on the bridges of the Chicago River.
The other side.  As I was listening to the bridge as it was coming up, I had to wonder how much longer before they had to do repairs.  Apparently, the city realizes it needs them but it is a pissing match with the county and Dearborn for money.   I guess we'll see.
