We here at Michigan Exposures would like to extend our best wishes to the veterans that either have served or are currently serve in the defense of this great nation. You people are the main reason that we have the best military on the planet. And as a tribute, I present to you a picture of the M-60 tank.
The M-60 is an update to the M-48 Patton Tank which was an offshoot of the M-26 Pershing tank. It has a 105mm smooth bore gun and was built at the Detroit Arsenal Tank plant by Chrysler. It was first constructed in 1960 and served the United States through 1997 (or so). I has been (or is still being) used by many allies of the United States but has been replaced in the US by the M-1 Abrams.
Looking at the tank from an oblique angle. There are several variants of this tank.
Looking at the side.
Another side shot of the tank, this time pulled out a bit.
A rear view of the tank.
Veterans Day is also known as Rememberance Day (or Armistice Day) as it is the day that the Armistice for World War I was signed.
