The Arthur M. Anderson

The Arthur Anderson is a lake freighter and was built in 1952 in Lorain, Ohio. She has the dubious distinction of being the last ship in contact with the Edmund Fitzgerald and was also the first trip to try to organize a rescue effort. She is still in service.

A shot of the full length. She has a length of 767 feet and can carry over 25,000 tons of cargo.

A shot of the pilothouse.

Another shot of the full length. There is something I like about the lake freighters.

A shot of the Ambassador Bridge behind the ship. This shot is from Belle Isle.

Using the zoom lens.

Another shot using the zoom lens. The ship in the back is the Atlantic Huron.
