I was feeling particularly unmotivated yesterday. Then I saw that there would be a few ships working their way down the River but I ended up catching only one of them.
I picked the classic laker of the bunch. She was leaving the Rouge River to head up to wherever she picks up her iron ore. She's the beauty, Kaye E. Barker.
She's unique amongst lakers in that she has a triple decker pilothouse. Gives her a pretty distinctive shape.
She's still sporting a pretty nice looking paint job after getting her new engines.
She still cuts a pretty nice profile.
And an even better full length profile.
Another shot of her pilothouse.
And her deckhouse.
Like many lakers, she proudly flies the Stars and Stripes.
But time is fleeting...
And she needs to say good bye.
