It was the home stretch, but I had to make a pair of stops at the Bridge before heading home.
First stop was the Bridge View park on the St. Ignace side. This park has been closed the past few times I've been up here, so I was glad to be able to stop this time. I like the view of the Bridge from this side. It was still pretty windy but not quite as windy as on the northern side of the Upper Peninsula. Sadly, as I was trying to take these pictures my main lens died, so I had to use one of my longer lenses. Still worked out though.
Because of the winds, they were escorting semi-trucks and vehicles with trailers. I presume this is to make sure that they are going the right speeed. After a fun trip across the Bridge, I was at the park on the Mackinaw City side. I like this shot well enough.
The longer lens gives me a chance to get a bigger shot of the towers.
But sometimes I like to take the long view.
And then I moved to another spot. It was alot different taking pictures of the Bridge this time.
I wish I had my other lens for this shot though. It makes the Bridge look more stretched out.
And one more shot before moving on.
All in all, I had fun on my trip. I wish the weather were more cooperative though but it made for some interesting shots an gave me an opportunity I don't normall get. So that was cool.
