Just before lunch, I decided to check FlightAware to see if there were any planes that were going to Ann Arbor. It turns out that there was one.
This was a Beechcraft Baron that was flying into Ann Arbor from Traverse City, MI.
The Beechcraft Baron was a further development of the Beechcraft Travel Air which was a twin engine development of the Beechcraft Bonanza.
The first flight of the Baron was in February of 1960 and it was introduced in 1961. The plane is powered by two Continental IO-470-L air cooled piston engines for a total of 520 horsepower. This give the plane a top speed of 205 knots.
The plane can carry 5 passengers and a pilot. It is still currently in production and over the years 6691 Barons have been produced.
