Sea Shell City

As you get close to Mackinaw City, there is a sign that boasts Sea Shell City.  I've always been curious and since I was leaving the city at a reasonable time, I decided to stop.

 I thought it would be like a museum or something.  Instead I get a shop.  It was a pretty interesting looking shop but a shop nonetheless.

Is this the man eating clam they boast?  I don't know.
