At 1000 feet, there actually isn't anything little about the American Spirit. Little did I realize, this would be the weekend of the 1000 footers for me. I ended up catching seven of them, which is over half of all them on the Lakes.
The American Spirit starts to work her way up the river. I kind of liked the calmness in some of the water. I really like the way she is set off against nature. This picture represents the very essence of boatwatching on the Great Lakes.
As she gets closer, you can make out more of her details.
And then you start to get an idea of her size.
The clouds still looked pretty cool.
I kind of liked the blue water.
A shot of her bow.
And her pilot house.
She continues down the river.
