The Road Less Traveled

On Friday night, I decided to take a trip over to Embury Road.  Embury Road is a dirt road off of North Territorial just north of Chelsea, MI.  It seems like someone has done some planting because it has a pretty representative sample of wildflowers in Michigan.
The first grouping of flowers that I ran across, was the marsh marigolds.
I think these are pretty nice looking flowers.
 Some violets.
I think this is a may apple.
My favorite wildflower is the trillium.  It seems like when I first started out, these were pretty rare.  Now it seems like they are getting more common.
Another trillium.
