The Thomas Edison as a Boy Statue

One of the more prolific inventors in the United States was Thomas Alva Edison.  He is credited with the invention of the light bulb, film projector, electricity distribution and several other things.  I would imagine those things would have been invented eventually but who knows.
Thomas Edison was born in Milan, Ohio in 1847.  He grew up in Port Huron.  At young age, he was a telegraph operator for the Grand Trunk Railroad.
In 1876, he moved to Menlo Park where he did many of his invention.
He died in 1931.
