The Algomarine

My next ship was the Algomarine.

She was built in 1968 in Lauzon, Quebec by the Davie Shipbuilding Company. She started her life as the Lake Manitoba. She was mainly a grain and ore carrier.

She stands at 730 feet long and can carry 27,000 tons of cargo.

In 1987, she was acquired by the Algoma Company and renamed the Algomarine.

A shot of the Ambassador Bridge as the ship is about to pass under it.
