The Lower Tahquamenon Falls

While I go to the Upper Falls quite a bit, I'm not a big fan of the Lower Falls so I don't stop there that often. This time I decided to stop at the Lower Falls. The water was flowing pretty quickly, so they were a sight.

One set of the lower falls. They aren't as tall as the upper falls so they aren't quite a dramatic but there is enough of a fall there to make them falls.

A closeup shot using a slower shutter speed. I like to vacillate between a high shutter speed and a low shutter speed because they convey different effects.

Another part of the falls.

Same shot using a higher shutter speed, notice how the water almost seems frozen in place.

Another part of the Falls, this was a trickier picture to get because people were sitting in the upper part of the shot. There is alot to be said for seeing the Falls in February or March because you don't have to fight all the people.

This is the path leading back to the Falls, looks very tranquil. They use a boardwalk because it's better for the soil underneath because it doesn't get packed down tightly.

Another part of the Falls. It does make for a beautiful shot though.
