The Grand Haven Lighthouse

My last stop for the day was Grand Haven. This is another lighthouse I've been to but again, it was on the way. Since it was getting close to sunset, it would be a perfect opportunity to take some good pictures.

The first lighthouse was built in this spot in 1839. In 1905, the current pair of lighthouses was built as a range light. The front building also houses a fog horn.

The sun as it is about to set, still plenty of light.

A shot of a sailboat as it is coming in.

A shot of the main lighthouse.

A shot of the lighthouse from another angle. You can see the bright red of the lighthouse.

Looking out across the channel towards the now set sun.

Both lights with the lights of the catwalk lit.
