The Dix Avenue Bridge
We caught the Tregurtha from the Dix Avenue Bridge.
Like the Jefferson Avenue Bridge it is a bascule bridge. But this one is a deck truss rather than a pony truss bridge.
I don't think it is as nice looking as the other one though. This bridge was built in 1929 by the Wisconsin Bridge and Iron Company. It was renovated in 1989.
