Just north of Chelsea off North Territorial Road is a dirt road called Embury Road. It leads into a small State Game Area. It is also lined with different wildflowers. With spring is almost full swing, the flowers are starting to bloom.
First up is some of the marsh marigolds. I believe these are a fairly early spring flower. I'm not sure how much longer they will be around.
Typically they live in swampy areas. Sometimes they will grow near some of the little streams that litter the state of Michigan.
I think these are star flowers.
And I think they are hepatica but I'm not sure.
Another stand of hepatica.
