Next up is another ship that is owned by the American Steamship Company.
She is the H. Lee White which is another rear deck ship. I believe she is pretty similar to the Sam Laud, Buffalo and American Courage.
She was built at a time when they realized that they still need some ships that were smaller than 1000 feet.
This is because there are many rivers and channels that need to be fed by ships. The 1000 footers can make it into some of those places.
She is a pretty cool looking ship at any rate.
It was a little on the wavy side, you can see one of them chopping into her bow.
She quickly passes by.
And then disappears out of view.
