The Victoriaborg Passes By

Next up is the salty Victoriaborg.  She is one of many ocean going vessels that sail on the Great Lakes.
This particular vessel was the Victoriaborg which is owned by Wagenborg Shipping out of Delfzul, Netherlands.
She was constructed in 2001 and is 433 feet long.  She has a cargo capacity of almost 10,000 tons.
Typically the flags that are flown on the front of the ship are courtesy flags.  In this case, the Canadian and US Flags.  One of the major differences between salties and lakers is the bow.  Typically the bow extends out and this helps in breaking ice.
 A shot of her pilothouse.
I do like the color scheme of most of the salties.
A straight on shot of her 433 feet.
A shot of her lifeboats.  Although I've heard these called submarines but I assure you, it is not a submarine.
A shot of her pilothouse.  It looks like the person to the rear is taking a picture of Detroit.
 Another shot of her bow.
 One more of her pilothouse.
And she starts to head up the river.
One more shot before she leaves.
