Joseph H. Thompson and Junior

People who follow this blog know that I'm not a huge fan of the tug/barge combinations.  However, one of the coolest ones is the Joseph H. Thompson.
It seems like I run into her in Bay City more than here but I have run into her before on the Detroit River.
The reason that I say she's cool is because she's pretty much made out of the same ship.
Her tug was made out of the ship that her front was made out of.  I'm still not entirely sold on the look though.
But I guess if it keeps a classic laker going...it is worth it.
She's got a pretty cool tug though....but don't let anyone know I said that.
And she heads off to Lake St. Clair and beyond.
And a nice clean background.
