A Coast Guard Boat

As I was about to leave, I looked and noticed this boat coming down the river. Not sure what kind it is but I think it may be a buoy tender.

Almost as it is passing by.

Unfortunately, I had too much lens, so I couldn't get a further out shot.

Birds of a Different Sort

As I was taking pictures of the various ships and what not, I heard a plane flying above me. Me being me, I had to take a picture.

This is a Cessna of some sort, I think.

Then I saw another plane. Not sure of the type though.

Just another shot of the tug, Karen Andrie. I don't have too many details on this except that she is one of those tug/barge combos. I think she was dropping stones off and was stuck because of the flooding.

A Cormorant

Thanks to one of my helpful readers from when I posted pictures of these before, I know this is a cormorant. It is kind of a neat looking bird.

Sadly, I couldn't quite get it focused.

But it is a pretty sleek looking bird.

More Railroad Bridge Shots

I had the bigger lens on my camera, so I took more shots of the railroad bridge.

I really like this type of bridge but it seems like they are getting rarer.

The Stephen B. Roman Again

Then I stopped by to see a ship that was docked at the cement plant again. It is the same ship that I saw the last time I was up in Bay City and docked at the same place.

Apparently, she came up a couple of days ago but the river is almost cresting past the flood stage so she can't leave safely. Just as well, I suppose.
