I had to look through all my pictures, take out the ones that I thought were really bad.  Put some of them in the right orientation.  I may have to straighten out a few.  So it may be a couple days before I post pictures from my trip.

Until then, I'll give you a picture of anticipation.

Greetings from the Wolverine

Well, I am on the final leg of my trip, the Wolverine from Chicago to Ann Arbor.  While I enjoyed the trip overall, I am glad to be heading home.  I just hope that I'm not going to run into too many delays tonight.

I apologize for the blurriness of this picture, I was trying to shoot through glass with the telephoto and I think that magnifies any distortions there as well.  I wanted to leave you with my favorite shot of Chicago, although I took a picture of the wrong side of the freeway.  The other side looked like a parking lot.

Well, I hope you had fun following along, when I get home I will post more pictures from my trip.

One Last Good Morning from the California Zephyr

I just woke up to Omaha, Nebraska at the train station so I figured I would do a picture that is fairly unique to be on the train side of the tracks.  The sun hadn't really risen yet, so I had to get a picture of something fairly stationary so I decided to get a shot of the signals.

So these are the train signals in Omaha.  Enjoy.

Good Evening from the California Zephyr

After several days, I finally got what I think is a decent picture of the train from the train.  This was taken as we were heading down the mountains into Denver.  This is part of a series of 10 switchbacks and is pretty cool to go through.

I will try to do a post tomorrow morning and then a slew of posts once I get home.

Good Morning from the California Zephyr

So we awaken on the California Zephyr and are greeted by the sight of Eastern Utah.  While not as spectacular as some of the views of California or the views I'll be seeing in Colorado, it is still pretty cool as I don't often get to see deserts.

I will likely post later depending on cell signals and what not.

Greetings from the California Zephyr - Part II

So I am well on my way on the California Zephyr.  We passed the Sierra Nevadas not too long ago and are currently passing through Reno.  This is my third time seeing Donner Lake but it is still pretty cool and makes for a nice view from the train.

Well, I'm on the second to last leg of my rail journey.  Currently, I'm sitting on the California Zephyr.  We just passed the mothball fleet and are heading towards Sacramento.  This part is the same as the Coast Starlight coming in, so I'll probably sparingly take pictures.  I can't wait to get into the Sierra Nevadas though.

So here's a shot as my train pulls up to the Emeryville station.  Not too much special about this train though.  I'll post a little later I think provided that the celluar service holds up.
