Zappa and the Cone of Shame

Since someone requested to see a picture of my cat in the cone of shame, here it is. He is actually getting better, they removed the bandages on Friday and he just has the splint on his ear to keep it straight. He's still not happy about that but it will make him better.

Here's a general picture of him in the cone.

You can see the splint on his ear.

I kind of like this picture. I'm glad the bandages are off because he is looking like a normal cat again.

At the Marina

Then I went to one of the marinas in the area. My eye was caught by the boats that were being held up for the winter. It was a pretty interesting sight, these boats behing covered up and out of the water.

I think this is a tug boat. I'm not sure who uses it though.

This is a line of sailboats winterized. I kind of like the colors of the hulls.

This is another angle of the tug.

The tug's propellor.

Another boat winterized. I kind of liked the look of the hull.

Another couple of sailboats.

More Pictures of the Eagles

Went back to the eagle spot today and I saw a bunch of them. As soon as I got around they started to fly.

This is an immature eagle.

This is an eagle that was taking off as I took the picture. Unfortunately, there were all the branches in the way of the picture.

Caught this one in flight.

This is another immature eagle.

This is a more mature eagle in flight.

From another angle.

As the eagle was flying right over me.

Another shot of an eagle just taking off.

An eagle at rest.

Another Picture of the Eagle

Since I was in Bay City, I of course had to go by the spot where the eagles hang out. Today I saw two of them but one of them was back in the woods so I couldn't get a good shot. This one was a little more in the open.

These are such magnificant birds in the wild.

A Flock of Turkeys

As I was out driving around Bay City today, I passed a field of turkeys. Unfortunately they were a ways out and my lens isn't quite long enough for it. Fortunately, I have enough resolution in my camera and could zoom a bit. So here are a couple of pictures.

Here is part of the flock. I think there were at least 20 of them total. Like I said, wasn't close enough though.

A closeup of one of the turkeys. Sadly, I didn't see this group of birds on Thanksgiving because I would have had a good thanksgiving post.

Another Merry Christmas....

I figured that there is one person that is fast enough to visit every house on the planet in the span of 24 hours....and here he is....

To My Readers....Seasons Greetings....

Wow, it has been almost another year of my blog. So to all my readers I wish a happy holidays whether you celebrate Christmas, Hannukah or whatever other holidays fall at this time of the year. I hope that you have been as happy to come to my blog as I have been to have you come to my blog.

This is a group of tree that I found. I just wanted a picture of a pine tree with some lights on it. I thought it would make a nice simple picture.

And then I decided to head to downtown Ypsilanti. It helped that they had wreathes on the light poles.

Just another angle.
