Fort Rosencrans National Cemetary

This National Cemetary was established in 1846. There are currently over 50,000 buried here. There are even some vets from the current Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

A memorial to the USS Ommaney Bay which was lost off the coast of the Phillippines.

A memorial to the USS Wasp, which was lost during the battle of Guadalcanal.

A shot of the some of the gravestones. One of the things I like about military cemetarys is the precision.

The obelisk is a memorial to the sailors of the USS Bennington which was sank in a boiler explosion.

A shot to give you an idea of just how many people are buried here.
