The Federal Katsura Makes an Appearance

This is another ship that has not graced the presence of this blog before.
Fortunately for me, the Federal Katsura was following the Mississagi farely closely, otherwise I may have passed on her.  It's not that I don't like these ships, it's that I was starting to get cold and wet and just wanted to get home.
The Federal Katsura is owned by Koyo Kaiun of Tokyo, Japan but she is charted by Federal Navigation and thus wears those colors.
She is the near sister of the Federal Sakura which has graced this blog before.  She was built in 2005 and is 624 feet long.
 A shot of her pilothouse.
A closer shot of her pilothouse.
 Her stack.
Like many of the foreign vessels, she flies a flag from a country other than the one she is from.  In this case, she flies a Panamanian flag.
And she continues on her way.
