Obscured by Clouds

It was still a pretty nice evening.  I wanted to get pictures of the Bridge with my drone.

Before taking off, I checked the FAA app to make sure that I was good and it said, "Cleared for Takeoff".  I didn't get too close to the bridge though.
While I was flying, I figured I could get a picture of the lighthouse too.
I kind of like this one.
I decided to get some pictures with my regular camera.
I was kind of happy to to do that because it was a nice sunset.
And then the fog started to come in.
Made for some nice pictures.
I haven't been able to get pictures like this in a while.
So I kept snapping.
As I was getting back to my car, I saw that the bridge was almost completely covered.
One more.

Some Other Pictures of the Mackinac Bridge

After getting some pictures of the Great Republic, I decided to get some other pictures.
Since I had my lens globe with me, I decided to do a little experimenting.  I like the images I got except I didn't realize that it was in fact a lens and I need to get a new 787 hat.
The clouds were perfect except that it was a little on the warm side.  I like nice billowing clouds.
I really like this shot.  I was using my hat to balance the globe and unfortunately my hat because the ant to the globe.
 another one that I like.
 another shot of the Bridge.
 Pulled out a little bit.
 I really like this one.
A shot of the Old Mackinac Lighthouse.
 Through the glob.
I like this shot a little better than the other one.
 From the front.
 Landscaped.
 Another angle of the Bridge.
The lilacs were in bloom, so I saw a chance to get a slightly different shot.
 I love this view.
We had a car with a moonroof, so I was able to get some different shots.
Looking up at the tower.

Shots from Around Mackinac

So I made it up to Mackinaw City before sunset and I made it in time to catch at least one of the ships I was hoping to catch there.
Since I had a little time to kill, I decided to take some shots of the Mackinac Bridge.
And of course, I had to get a picture of the lighthouse since this is one of my favorites.  As you can see, there was a little bit of snow on the ground but not too much.
 Another angle of the bridge.
I also got a picture of the Grand Hotel.
 A little later.
I tried to lower the exposure in an effort to use one of those old movie tricks.  Not sure if I like it.  I didn't stick around after this picture though.

The Mighty Mackinac Bridge

Since I didn't stop at the park last time, I decided to stop at the park this time.
I know that I have a ton of Mackinac Bridge pictures, but what's a ton more?
Besides, it was a pretty nice day and I liked the cloud pattern.
I even had to get my picture through the trees.
And a shot of the lighthouse tower.

A Trip Up to the Bridge

I decided to head up to the Bridge yesterday.  I saw pictures of blue ice and I thought that would look pretty neat.
It was a nice enough day and by the time we arrived, the sun was hitting it just right.
I decided to take a walk around the park.  I rarely get a shot from this view.  I kind of liked the view though.
And I started to walk around the park.  I like the long view of the bridge.
 Getting different angles.
Getting another angle of the bridge.
This is one of my favorite lighthouses.  With the construction of the Bridge, it was no longer necessary.
 Going along the park.
A view of the lighthouse from the beach.  Sadly, I only brought one lens on my walk, so I couldn't get the full picture of it.
I really liked the way the sun was hitting everything.
I wish there would have been more smoothe water to get more of the reflection.
 Continuing along the path.
Trying to get a fuller shot of the ice by tilting the camera.
Here is some of the blue ice.
Trying a different angle to get more of the blue ice.
 Another angle on the bridge.
 Another angle of the lighthouse.
I kind of liked the streaks of open water in the picture.
I kind of liked the way the trees were framing the tower.
Trying with a different angle.  I think I like this one a little better.
I went to a park nearby to get a different angle of the Bridge.  The stack was pilled up pretty high.
The ice was more on the beach here.
 Trying to get different angles.
One more shot of the Bridge.
